We've talked about it, so let's do it.

Nov 8th - 9:00am-1:00PM

UNITS Mobile Storage Warehouse
1200 Gambrel Road, Suite 104
Arlington, TX 76014
817-375-1521

Closest major intersection - I-20 and Collins Street.  The warehouse is located directly behind the Saturn dealership. Exit I-20 at Collins and go North (right if coming from the east, left if coming from the west).  Go past the Mobil gas station to the first right turn, Pavilion Place.  Turn right and follow the curve.  The warehouse will be on your right as you come out of the curve.  Turn right into the driveway next to the building and come around front.  The second suite from the south side of the building is UNITS.  The two containers up front plus all the signs will be easy clues to follow. Ride up the ramp and inside the building.

I have an 8 ton forklift that should be able, with liberal use of straps and chains, lift two Valks for any work requiring it.

Here's a link for maps just in case my directions are bad:

I have a motorcycle jack and some tools.  I suggest you bring what you think you will need to use. The warehouse is pretty big and we'll have drinks iced down for the group.

Rainmaker I made a attachment for my forklift in order to lift my bike. No straps and chains needed. Just slide the forks close together, mount the bracket to the bike and raise her up. I will see if I can make it and let you use it if your interested!

Stealing ideas from Houston again?  The Houston wrench party is also scheduled for that date ...

My forklift has 8 foot forks on a 72" carriage.  Moving them together is one tough strenuous activity.  Would like to see the picture - maybe one of my forks could do the whole lift.

Lyn-dell, great minds think alike!

I guess my bracket won't work if you can't slide the forks.

Mark, in a prior life I was a heavy equipment operator including many different forklifts.  If those forks are moveable and I make it to the wrench party I can move them.  Of course, that is if TJ makes it with the bracket and you want the forks moved.

I can move them - it's just a lot of movin' as they are spread 6 feet and being 8 feet long, they are kinda' heavy.

I'll be there unless something unforeseen comes up.  I don't have anything critical that needs to be done, but maybe I can come up with something between now and then.
