Since I missed the annual Chicken Fried Bacon Ride, I didn't get my annual "fix" so I'm planning on riding up to Snook for lunch on Saturday.

Anyone care to ride along or meet there?

Doing escort duty on the MS-150 this weekend or I'd be there!

In Dallas/FW, it's May 4th and 5th.

But, you are the Early Bird!

I missed out on CFB, too, but this weekend won't work for me.  I'm on second shift again this week with all hands on deck Friday night and I'm on stand-by Sat & Sun.  If, for some reason, it slides again, I'd try to make it.

I am going to be at the NRA National Convention all day Saturday and have tickets for the program Saturday night.

Sorry, won't be able to make it...but I will enjoy the gun show.

A look at the calendar told  me that this is the only weekend I have free until mid-June ..... so it's off to Snook I go!

I'm not much at choosing routes, so I figure I'll just go pick up 36 at 1462 and work from there.  36 should get us most of the way there .....

Man it's cold out there, just like the last one, hope it warms a bit.

High here is predicted to be 74 ... sounds  like lovely riding weather!!

I'm hoping someone  will come up with a better ride route than I can, but as long as I get my CFB, I'll be happy.

Going to join us, Eli?

I'll be needing something to do besides cutting grass, a try is in the making. I rode near 800 miles last weekend, I think I need another fix.

Lyn Del,   How about meeting up at that gas station at US 290 and 1488?  (NE or NW corner)   It is where we meet up with Bobby.   Time?  10'ish?  Let me know.

Thanks

Can we make it just a bit later?  With only a few folks, we don't need to get there when they open.  That'll let it warm up a bit before we hit the road.

If it will help, it is about 50 miles from 1488 on into Snook.

Make a decision and I will join in.

what if we meet at 290 and 1488 closer to 11?  That'll get us to Sodolak's around noonish, leaving plenty of time to eat and still get home at a reasonable hour.

I'll plan on leaving here somewhere before 9

I'm dense today, meeting me in Hempstead, or here?  Or is there somewhere else you'd like to meet?

I was talking about 1488.  But, I will have enough time and if you are thinking about running up 36 I could meet you at the intersection of 36 and 59.  I think there is an Exxon or Shell right there on the NE corner.  Just after you would come under 59.

I meet you there at 10:00; 1488 for others is about 60 miles and should be there about 11:00.

Early Bird back in the  house about 5:10.

CFB II completed with 4 of us making the trip.

I clocked about 270 miles today.  Perfect day for riding except for about the last hour from Tomball around the beltway to home.  Too much traffic in too much of a hurry for my peace of mind.

I made it back home safely as well.  I wish I'd given in to impulse and gotten off at the Ft Bend Toll Road -- shortly after that the freeway was shut down, with the resultant merging of traffic, etc.

Oh, well.  Day was too good to let something like that bother me!

I got my annual "fix" of CFB .... already looking forward to next year's run!

About the same 275 miles and all great till dealing with I45 traffic the last 30 miles.  Great time though! Thanks Marcus for being such a great guide!
