I know the connector on the left side is different on the I/S. But can anyone see why I can't use an I/S left control if I remove that connector and replace it with the usual 9-pin square one? The function should be the same so without having them in my hand, and I'm too lazy to go to the shop for my manual just now, it would seem to me an easy switch.

Guess I'll go get the book, it will bother me all night until I know.  Grin
