I know I have not been here for a while and I have been so busy working on so many Valkyries this year. I have rebuilt so many Valkyrie carburetors than before I think around 16 carb since last Fall of course its getting old and older... I used to work on carburetors and re-use the gaskets/orings lately not anymore had to replace all of it due to crack and breaks on gaskets/orings. I'm getting tired of working on carburetors but I always enjoy working on it that keep me busy old man...  Evil I hope you all still enjoy on tech board...

Anyway here's the picture how to repair the thread.

That was cool. I feel like I could do something like that after seeing those
pictures  cooldude ...

I think that a way to avoid stripping those threads is to lift your
bike until the wheel is just barely touching the ground, with
no compression or tension on your shocks, and then take the bolt
out...

thanks for taking the time to post the pics, this was very timely for me, have a stripped slider bolt on the rear caliper this insert looks like the right ticket to get the bike back on the road.

For that rear brake caliper right??? You have to be very careful to drill in straight align other wise it will not align right for caliper to slide.  cooldude
