Went to look a 99 standard today in Brandon listed for $3500 in the Times. Black and silver
with 57000 miles on it, more like 157000. Very rough with black ape hangers  Angry
been sitting for months, idles bad, would have be an intresting ride home, rear wheal pitted,
just too much of a project for me, but with enough time and money and i think you could
pick it up $2000 to $2500 as the paint looked good, it might be worth it. Just too much
for me. It's in Brandon 821 Ethyl St. Phone # 813-480-0474 ask for J.D. Like i said i think
it could picked up cheap. LOL.   Bill

Wow, if I could get it for $2500 or under I'd try scraping up the cash. I really need another project.  uglystupid2

Do you really think the mileage is 157k or is it only 57k with an owner that ignored it?

Not real sure John. it may be only 57000. It definitly has been rode hard and put up wet.  Cry
Like I said alot of small things wrong with it but it could be brought back in time. I hope someone
does it, just like to keep these great bikes on the road in their own glory. Cheesy  Some electrical
issues like no horn working, no brake light with hand lever and maybe more small things, no
big deal but good points for barganing. He's got 4 or 5 other bikes for sale also. Older man and
can't get around too easy. Good luck and ride safe. Bill

Sshhhhh....  Lips Sealed  She gets suspicious enough when I say I want to take a ride but don't explain why. If I were to pull the trailer out, oh brother. I know....I'll tell her you want to borrow it and store a bike in our garage. How's that sound?  2funny

UPDATE: I mentioned the bike to Rita. This is a family forum. 'Nuff said!  tickedoff

I actually had a friend of mine do that with a pull behind trailer he bought without his wife's consent. One of those deals you can't pass up. Stored it at a mutual friend's place of business for about three months while he refurbished it on the sly....so he thought. When he came rolling in with it one day, his wife said it's about time she finally got to see it since you've had it over at XXX's place of business the last three months. Seems the wives shared more than coffee!

John, they have spy's.  uglystupid2 My wife took a vacation to visit her grand parents years ago, gone for 3 weeks. She knew every thing I did while she was gone. Not that I got in trouble, but I learned not to try any thing, I was sure to be found out.

John, there seems to be a point you pass when collecting whatever it is you like that the other half can no longer keep up with what you have.
I was into R/C planes (still have them) and got to that point where I had so many I could sneak another one in and she would go "Where did that one come from" and the reply would be...thats been around for a long time, just fixed it up to fly it again!
With enough bikes.................hey, just sayin'

She's part Cherokee, can't sneak much past her. Hate to have her go on the warpath.  Grin
