I'm changing out the tank bib on my 97 standard. Wondering how to remove the fuel cap on the gas tank ?

Thanks

Unlock the fuel cap with your key. Lift the cap back as if you were going to fill the tank with fuel. You will see two screws that hold the tank cap on. Remove these two screws being careful not to let them fall into the tank. After you have removed the screws, you should be able to lift the lid and chrome surrounding the cap. Do this carefully as to not knock any loose dirt ro matter into the fuel tank.
Then of course there are the front & rear bolts that hold the tank on you'll need to remove. Hope this helps!
