Well, today I took my baby apart to get the body work and paint done.
She looks so sad........

She will be better than before.
I will be riding the Wing for the next few weeks.

Wish me luck.

No good deed goes unpunished.   Cry

All of life is full of ..... sh!t happens...... we just wish it happened to someone else.  tickedoff

She doesn't look that bad to me, a little work and money and she'll be back to beautiful again.  (unlike us aging fellows)  Grin

I'm gonna really shock her.   Gonna swap out the carbs and desmog while I'm in there.  Should I replace the throttle cables while I have it down?  Is has 102k miles and the chrome "leads" on the throttle cable are rusted and will not polish out.

Just wondering what y'all would do.

Rode her into the garage.  Felt really light.  Can't ride on the street, no headlight.

Glad to see you are getting her fixed. All sorts of comments about a naked girl come to mind but none of them PC. Jimmy she came out beautiful after the last mishap, she will shine again!!!

Do you plan on using a desmog kit or just remove the pair valve and cap the reeds while the carbs are off? It's a simple desmog without removing all of the gas vapor lines, besides, those lines are chrome.

Extreme makeover = Valk Edition.

Yes, if you're taking the carbs off, replace the cables. Gary's 2 cents.

She will be faster and get better fuel mileage when it's done.  I will pull the tank tomorrow to start the desmog and carb swap.  Smiley

OK, I've been working a lot of night shift crap and haven't been able to keep up with anything.  My laptop went tango uniform and have to get on the other half's pc.  Jimmy, what happened to the bike?  Hope everything is alright.  I'm just trying to catch up on past news and inquiring minds like mine want to know.
