Got a great looking black tank for my newly acquired 03 Standard, blew some sand colored dust out it, so I read Daniels post on tank cleaning. Cosmetically, I couldn't ask for better, but it has the F6 badges on it. Here's the my dilemma, remove the F6 badges and replace with maiden heads And risk damaging the tank or leave it alone. What do you think?

The F6C badges are European badges, and not seen in the states very often.  I paid good money to get a pair of them, and it's just one more thing to make my bike unique  cooldude

FIshing line and a heat gun take them right off. Kinda hard to mess up the paint unless you use some nasty cleaner to get the residue.  Or you do like my less than intelligent friend and use piano wire instead of fishing line.... uglystupid2

I traded my badges with guy from France. They want our badges just as bad as we want there. His name is Jean and we still keep in touch. He is on the French board and some of the guys over there speak English and are willing to make deals with us.

All Standard tanks are the same, up to '99 they had the American F6 badges,, 2K up the Maiden head badges. I think the F6 badges from Europe has a large F6 in the location where the American badge has the name "VALKYRIE", THE F6 is above that name. This is a tank I purchased in lieu of getting the original tank repaired. The cost of repairing the original was much more than the cost of the tank I got.

I have an extra set of Europe F6C badges laying around.
 So what are they worth?
