Hi all,
I'm getting ready to install the Audiovox clone from Murphs kits (CCS100) and remember reading a post somewhere of how someone had used an auto parts store accessory to mount the control pad to the right handlebar area.  Does this ring a bell to anyone?  Or any other suggestions (other than duct tape) to mount it.  I don't have a machine shop available unfortunately!   Thanks as usual.    Brad

I used a small piece of alum. flat bar about 1/8in thick. Drilled a hole and mounted under the left hand mirror post. I bent it up at a small angle so I could run it with the same finger that works everything else on that side. Been there for years now.

Thanks for the reply.  How did you attach the pad to the bracket?  Brad

I made a similer bracket, epoxied a 1/4" thick plastic block to with a channel cut toward the bottom to let the wiring out.then used 3m dbl.stick to mount the switch.Keep it covered when washing or rain riding.

Mine is held on to the bracket with two sided 3m tape.

I have not installed one yet, but planned to follow these instructions.

The control switch mounting is near the end.

If you want to get it mounted real quick, and make a proper bracket when you have time, a Mini Mag light mounting clip will fit on the handlebars.  Makes an instant mount.  In fact mine has been doing it's job for at least 4 years!  It slips around a bit; a small screw and nut will tighten it up, between the mount base and bars.  Snap it on and you'll see.  Just don't over tighten.

If you want to do a real bang up job, see http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,21439.0.html
You'll have to go thru a few pages, but Fordmano's solution is epic! It starts on page 4.
