Gidday....I have Kuryakyn cruise foot pegs/rests attached to the engine guard frame...using the kuryakyn magmun quick clamps(as suggested)...for the life of me ,I cannot get these clamps tight enough.Over time they slip/roll around the frame .....I believe I have the correct clamps...Talking to the joker at custom cruiser,reckons the 7/8s are the correct size................anyone having these same rider pegs,are you having the same problem....or...what are the correct size magnum quick clamps for the Valkyrie........or any suggestions ...fire away........  |

I don't recall the size, but I used double sided carpet tape to help protect the chrome and they don't slip.

The tube that curves around the end of the timing cover requires a 1-1/8" clamp. The tube that goes back from it under the valve cover requires a 7/8" clamp. You may wish to put some thin rubber under the clamp, like a piece of inner tube, or perhaps cut a piece of aluminum soda can to use as a shim.

yeah fellas...have double checked the sizes,so I know Im on the rugby paddock for sure.......have tried the rubber,and that doesnt work for me....they still slide.........will try the double sided tape...that may be the ticket.......thanks for the replys....kia kaha

I had that problem with one side for my Kury hiway pegs. I tried double sided tape, trim tape, PVC pipe cut down for inserts, nothing worked. I used a small strip of sheet steel, 12 gauge, I think. Steel on steel is the only way to go.

You could try a bit of emery cloth. Smooth side toward the chrome to keep from scratching.
