Does anyone here actually know Dan McKay?
I don't, but if I did I'd ask him what's up with this seemingly same part with very different prices.

In the meantime I'll email him and see 1) how long it takes to get a reply (I've found numerous folks displeased with failed attempts at post-sale contact) and 2) what am I missing?  Are these actually different parts?

$58 from Dan-Marc:

$31 from Dan-Marc RV Parts:

Interesting! I've got Dan Marc's on both my Valks and the cost was around $25. Another sign of the economy? ???

Well, Damn-Marc pissed me off one time so I found the manufacturer of the valve, AFC.  Their web site for the valve is below:
http://www.afcvalves.com/mod111.html
To order 1-10 valves and pay by credit card, you must go through their distributor at:
(269) 781-9196

OK
I have a couple of questions for you guys.

Don't you feel that the dan-marc  111 everyone is using has an orifice that is too small?

It is 1/8 inch pipe inlet and outlet, but it is only a  0.10in. orifice. It would seem to me that it would really restrict the flow. The #121 can be had in either 1/4 in. or 5/16th in. pipe size with a 0.25 orifice, why not use that one?

Why not use one fo the 90* inlet  / outlet units? I would think that that would eliminate some of the possibility of hose kinking.

Jim, I think that most here have used the 121 valve with the larger orifice. The 111 valve was "discovered" about a year ago and I haven't heard of anyone complaining that the fuel flow is insufficient. The 111 has a filter and a magnet to trap particles from the tank. I'd love to hear direct reports from those that have mounted 111 valves and have had no issues.

I'm happy to pass on that Dan replied to my email early this morning saying he could ship it today.
So I ordered this one: http://store.dan-marcrvparts.com/12vo1orinfis.html

I'll update here when I receive the part.. then I'll ask him if he knows he's got different prices for the same part.

Ok. And here ya go... 74 minutes after I submitted the online order.
Apparently all the dissatisfied folks whose comments I read caught him at a bad time or he saw the same comments and changed his ways.

Thank you again for your order from Dan-Marc RV Parts and Supplies.
The following items have been shipped:
12 Volt .100" Orifice   79-AFC15212         1  31.63
Inline Filter Shut Off
Valve (Shipped)

And regarding the difference between the 79-AFC11112 and the 79-AFC15212 (the one I ordered), this one comes with a filter so I figured 'why not'.

I have been using the model 111 for three years. Installed it straight in line. No hose kinking or flow problems.

Just wanted to post a final update that I received the valve in the mail today.
Nothing bad to say about this transaction.
