Just got in a rack I ordered off eBay and trying to install it. I've removed the four bolts on the sissy bar but when I try to line up the rack it appears to be about 1/16" off for the bolts to line up. I got one top bolt in with no problem but then the bottom bolt looks to be going in at an angle.

Anyone have any suggestions for this install?

If this is an aftermarket rack, instead of a Hondaline rack, you may have to drill the rack holes to accomodate the threaded holes in the sissybar.  If it is a Honadline rack then maybe the flat are bend and need adjustment.

If it is an aftermarket part, be prepared to modify as Farther said.... That is just the standard operating procedure when working with Chinese knockoffs. You may need to file out the holes with a rat tail file until you get alignment,,, if so, use a fine file and tape the area to keep the chrome peeling to a minimum.

When I install mine, I always just start the threads on the bolt a little bit, until I get all four going.

It does look like yours aren't lining up right, so the file may be your only fix.

When I used to take mine off and on, I'd put the top 2 bolts in loosely, enough threads in so as not to fall out.

Mine looked just like that, I took ahold of the top of the bar and pushed it forward till the bolts lines up.

If ya have to, push it  forward, put a little punch in the hole on the other side and then start your bolt.    The last bolt, just wiggle the bracket around un til it starts to take threads.

Once all 4 bolts are started, tighen each one up about 3 or 4 threads till it gets snug.    Then put a tad bit more pressure on it andlet he go to sleep.

This happens with aftermarket stuff a lot, specially from ebay. I had the same problem with my wife's sportster 1200 low when I installed the crash bar. I had to drill the holes up a size to get it to fit.
