I got in some new trunk guard rails for my I/S, Holding them up to the bike thet fit great with the antennas removed. They pass directly over the ant. mounts. I was just in Ky. wish I had known then so I could have looked and asked. Any one else had this problem, what is the fix?

There are alternate antenna stay mounting holes to use when you have the trunk guard rails. The antenna moves out just a smidge which is enough to clear the rails. Just look at the top of the chrome square bar that the OEM antenna stay is mounted on. There are three holes. The outer two are used when you don't have the guard rails. The inner two holes are used when you do.

Make an extension for your antenna mount.   Seems like the one I helped make for a gentleman in California was like 6" in full length, to achieve the 3" that was needed for the new mount.

It was just a flat piece of stainless steel, we drilled a hole in each end.   Chrome bolt on the one end and the antenna on the other.

Just be creative and you can solve the problem.     NO, there is not a store bought piece I know of.

Exactly right.  You just need to move your antenna out.  Use the outer holes, and it clears the rails.

Thanks for the input, I did not remove the trunk till I had an answer, and when I did the answer was right there, extra bolt holes. Thank you for the help. Lee
