Guys (and Gals):  I've got an Ultimate King Big Boy with the matching backrest on my 98 Standard.  While I like the looks of the pair together, I'm not that thrilled with the functionality of the backrest (I'm taller - and it seems a tad short).  Can a Utopia backrest be used with this saddle without any modifications?  In advance, thanks much.  Terry

Foozle, I would be interested in purchasing your Ultimate rider backrest - that is if you want to sell it for a reasonable price, of course.  Pls reply via email (my address is in my profile).

Here's a Utopia backrest on  my Tourer..

I have the same seat (Ultimate KingBoy) on my Interstate with the Ultimate back rest but being tall and large I prefer the Utopia backest.

Same setup here, I already had the Utopia backrest when I bought the Ultimate King Big Boy and I didn't want to pay for new backrests.  I'm 6'4", works well!   cooldude

I used the Ultimate chrome portion that bolts down to the fender, and bolted the the upper part of the Utopia to it. Fits fine and you have chrome instead of the black piece.

Thanks for all the responses, guys.  I went ahead and ordered a Utopia backrest with studs to match my current setup. In response to the last post, Mustang makes both the leather tank bib and rear fender accent.  You should be able to find them at most Internet sources.  Terry

Do you have any pics of that bracket John? Can it be purchased alone at Ultimate seat? I'm asking because I have an Ultimate seat and a Utopia backrest .... but have been procrastinating with the install of the backrest.
TIA!  cooldude

I'll email it to you if your address hasn't changed. Good to hear from you bud. Re. the bracket purchase by itself, I believe so. I know I bought one from Des shortly after getting my King Boy because I sold the Ultimate backrest complete when I installed the Utopia. I also had him recover the Utopia to match the Ultimate seat design. Naturally, it cost a little but was worth it...to me anyway.
