Rode my Darkside Chrome Monster to the Texas Hill Country last weekend, and it was great.  I'm not a daredevil or anything, but I did want to take the roads as fast as safely possible ("safely" being a relative term).  Me and a friend burned through pretty fast, and he wondered about how I could leave him behind with that big car tire on the back of my big motorcycle.  I rode on my pegs 11 times which is a lot for me, and never once felt that traction was anything but super.  Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on the rear and Metzler 880 on the front.

You are going to crash and burn!
That is what I hear all the time about my CT.
It will NOT work.
You cannot turn with that on there.
You know the moto gp guys use mc tires, so therefore ct's cannot work! That is like telling me I need to use the same tires NASCAR does on my sedan!

They tell me it will not work, then I outrun them in the twisties, and they STILL tell me it is no good.

Oh well, you cannot help STUPID!

With about 5000 miles on my new CT, I hardly notice it back there.

The first day, I was surprised that I could make a tighter turn with it comfortably than I can with the bike tire.  Wizard explained it well.  With the round tire, the bike feels like it wants to tip into the center.  With the CT, it feels like it wants to stand up.  Therefore, no feeling of falling.

it's all in the confidence in the tire.
Once you get over the original scepticism, the car tire works great.

I agree about the stability. When I had my Valk and my buddy on his Heritage We'd come up to light about to go green and see who put their foot down first, he never stood a chance. He'd be wobbling the bars trying to stay up and I just let her almost just stand there. Don't think he ever figured out that the ct makes all the difference.
