Don't forget.  http://www.ridetowork.org/

And, because this ain't my first rodeo, at the risk of offending, you don't need to post here to loudly proclaim that you ride to work all the time.  We already accept you and think you're manly (well, most of you).

Have a good ride to work.  We get our office riders together for breakfast early on the day and then ride in together. If you want to do that, there are promotional materials on the website.

Results of my 'ride to work' Monday.   :'(

So now I'm waiting for Maxim Honda to get my parts.

They say Friday or Saturday.  Ha!  I'll be lucky to get them by next week.

Wasn't a hole.  But it was a pretty good bump in the street.

Wasn't even a tooth breaker.

Looked down and my right Baker was gone!  WTF!!??

By the time I got turned around and back to the ejection point, it had been run over a few times.

BUT, it wasn't until I finished my ride to work and began looking over the damage that I discovered the remains of my motor mount bolt laying on the right head and the nut (with the broken end of the bolt) in the valley between the heads.

So, which occured first?  Did the motor mount bolt break sometime previously, putting a lot of pressure on the engine guard bolt - which finally gave away?

Or, did they both break simultaniously?

Monday was an office day for me -- my office is 90' from my house -- so, I rode to the Bank and the Post Office -- which is my usual end to an office day -- and then I kept going for a bit...

Every year on Ride to Work day, the riders at the Space Center here get together for a picture and lunch.  We've had pictures taken in front of the Saturn V, in front of the KC-135 tanker at Ellington AFB, and the shuttle mockup at SpaceCenterHouston.  This year, we were back in front of the Saturn V, which won't be as good of a picture since they enclosed it, but oh well, what can you do?
Good lunch with our fellow NASA workers, and back to the grindstone.
We didn't have a great turnout.  I have no idea why.  It was as wonderful of a day as you can find in June.  Beautiful sunny day, just a bit warm.  Oh well.  The folks that made it had fun.
