Spent big bucks to get my bike going again battery/rebuilt starter/ starter relay etc.   Its won't start again...just clicks ??? The guy who worked on it is a Harley guy and doesn't like imports...and is currently having health problems...any recommendations?
 Thanks

yes, do the work yourself....buy a shop manual and you'll no longer need to rely on people that don't know "imports".

Be careful...could be hydrolock, but it sounds like a bad ground to me.

Good luck...

Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

What was the original problem?  What's the voltage at the battery right now?

If you end up needing a new starter do not let Honda tell you you have to buy one for 750$ that's BS. Go to stocker starters they have them for 170$ all day long.

I doubt you needed the starter. I'd bet it's the starter button. Go to shop talk and find the starter button fix. It's easy to do.

Yep, what Sandy said. Also, check/clean the ground cable near the left foot peg.

I just took out the plugs and fuel went everywhere...mainly from the left side of the engine...put the plugs back in and it started right up...so I guess this means I need to replace the pet-rooster and possible carb problem???

Guess I called that one right!!!

You're lucky if nothing is damaged.  You probably have a failed petcock and one or more stuck floats.

Fix or replace petcock and recommend going through the carbs.  I wouldn't tempt fate by continuing to start the bike until these are fixed...properly.

Good luck.

Do yourself a favor & DO NOT touch the starter button again until u resolve the fuel issue! I did so with a manual Pingel .Then wear the tec board out & search concerning fuel shut off & hydro lock.
