I searched for D shaped pilot tool and I found this one from Mac Tools.  I think I got mine from Motion Pro Industries, but I did not come up with it on a search of their site.

THANKS TO U BOTH FOR INFO ON PILOT TOOL. I TRIED TO FIND THE BLEEPITY BLEEP PILOT SCREWS LAST NITE BUT HAVE BEEN HAVING FLARE UP WITH MY BACK SO I DIDNT LOOK LONG. MAYBE BY THE TIME I GET THE TOOL ILL BE ABLE TO TAKE A BETTER LOOK.

Leon they are in a recessed circle underneath next to the bowl on the outside.  Hard to access while the carbs are on the bike.

They look like a little Brass Plug that is in the Center Cut-out part of the Float Bowl. The float Bowl is cut-out and goes around the Jets.

What Bert said.  Some people have ground off the lip or circle and cut a slot in the end of the pilot screw.  I just got the  d shaped tool it wasn't very expensive.
