My favorite muscle car, that was not everyone's favorite, was the 1987 Buick Grand National GNX.  3.8 liter turbo-charged V6 cranking out 276 HP.

nuthin fancy    a 67-68 firebird or camaro convertible  dont need the 427 but since I am wishin.....

liked the vettes with the split window in back I think it was 63 and a 69 vette and 69 mach1

All of the above in candy apple red

Do miss my 73 monte carlo  that thing got no miles per gallon but was a terrific cruising vehicle.  NY to Miami is no time at all and real comfortable with that bench seat in front.  Car I was driving when I met my wife.

but a little ratty car called a mazda with this wankle engine or whatever they called it was amazingly fast  was it an rx2?  I dont mean with top speed I mean off the line and lite to lite stuff

I'll take a NEW 6.1 liter SRT8 Challenger.  435 HP, and can put it to ground like the old ones can't.

I have a 2005 Magnum now.  340 HP, and a wagon and it's still pretty fast.

I am the kiss of death.  I bought my Valk in 03 and they killed it.  I bought my Magnum in 08 and they killed it.

Sorry guys... it was all MY fault!

They don't go around corners, but the ride on the real roads was Fabulous.
I have something like the buick listed here, and was thinking of an engine build up.
But after listening to the big block Chevy sing,I might need to buy one.
I can't stop listening to the 572 motor! uglystupid2 uglystupid2 uglystupid2

Nope, I had a 66 GTO back in 71. It was the HO 389, convertible, power top, white leather interior, power windows, Hurst 4 speed, but on the rear, between the taillights, under the trunk keyhole was "PONTIAC", so his may not be an original. Mine was a factory misprint as it said "PONITAC" on the back. It had to come from the factory that way since the individual letters were applied with drilled holes and studs. The "T" had 3 holes and the "I" only had 2. I sold that cat in 73 to get my first Corvette. The guy who bought it drove it to Pasco, WA where he was moving. tickedoff

Hey Dude. I think I know a little about driving big car. Pictured is my 1970 Pontiac Bonneville with the original 370HP 455HO. I bought this car 26 years ago. I have rebuilt the engine. It is bored 30 over. Forged flat top pistons. Balanced and blueprinted bottom end. 268 Dur 460 lift comp cam. Mild gasket match port job on the heads. Stock Quardrajet, stock Distributor with a Petronix Point elimination system. Petronix flamethrower Coil and wires. Exhaust is stock manifolds through 2.5 inch pipe and flowmaster mufflers. Not sure what the HP is now. I would say maybe 425 at the flywheel. Custom shift kit in the turbo 400 trans, 3:23 posi. This 4500 pound car will break the tires loose going into second and chirp them in third at 90 MPH.

I owned this baby for 10 years, a 1968 Shelby GT500 KR, numbers matching.  It was so pristine, I had a hard time driving it, other than to shows.  I decided to sell it for something I could enjoy and not worry about getting the undercarriage dusty.

So, into the stable came the SSR.  I ended up treating it the same way, and it never got driven in the rain for 5 years.  It was a blast to drive, but being a truck chassis, it was pretty heavy, and not really fast.  I got an offer last week I couldn't turn down, so it's gone.

The next day I went to my favorite Chevy dealer and placed an order for a 2010 Camaro SS, 420 HP, with all the goodies, looking something like below ( it had to go with the KING BE plate).  Lord knows when it'll arrive....

I wish I had my 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger with the 318 V8 back....I could stuff one of the large Mopar motors in it and make it scoot.....

Dart Swinger Swinginpowered by Aeva

p.s.....I never did this in mine....more a few dozen times.... cooldude... Cheesy.. Grin

Here's a pic of what mine looked like...except I had different wheels on it and air shocks on the back...

And I also wish I had my '84 Dodge Omni GLH back...it was a fun little car to drive....it didn't have the turbo on it like the one in this clip, but it was pretty sporty....

This is what I got: 1992 Mustang LX 5.0

And this is what I want, OK its the same but with several improvements. I have had the car for 15 years. It was a lease turn-in with 30K miles and we just turned 150K. Burns no oil and will still chit and git.

And one that I would like but will never happen:1962 Ford Falcon

I can actual say I have never owned a car.  Cool My 1st vehicle was a 1961 3/4 ton Chevy Apache. That truck was great american iron. Topped out at 60 mph but still was neat in the cool factor. The X did by a 01 Firebird convertable one summer. Neat car. So with that I would like to have a late model Trans Am with the Ram Air. But, I don't ever see a car, or a van for that matter, in my future. All GMC trucks.

It amazes me that years ago, talented people drew these cars up on an easel, with a few pencils.
Today the american car companies must go back to designs from these people,to sell cars.
I guess the computer cad programs, aren't exactly all their cracked up to be.
One instance where the computer will never replace a real, live, thinking human being.

Two door post was the standard body goat, hardtop and ragtop were the optional bodys.  Most folks bought the hardtop.  Hoser

I owned a 1957 two door post 150 businessman coupe for about 15yrs. It was several different colors in that period of time. I ran a built 350, borg warner T-10 4speed out of an early model vette, and a 4.56 rearend. It was a great car, enter wife and child, turbo 350 with shift kit and 3.36 rearend, air, and car seat. Wife loved driveing that car when I would let her. I bought 50 GMC 5 window and started working on it and a kid made me an offer on the 57  I couldn't turn down. Wish I still had that ride. Cry
