Austone vs. Avon Cobra Tire Height

I can't seem to locate the detail specs on the Austone Taxi Tire other than what's listed at the following site:

Compared to the Avon Cobra AV72 the Austone appears to be about 1.1" taller.  Is this correct?  Does the Valk ride a little higher in the rear with the Austone tire?

I measured a new Metz 880 at 25 3/4 diameter and a new Austone at 26 7/8 diameter, a difference of 1 1/8". Using those numbers, a Metz running at 3000 RPM would yield 2875 RPM with the Austone at the same speed or a difference of about 4%.

What I did notice and surprised me was that the lean angle on the side stand was quiet a bit more with the Austone. The 1/2" radius of course a part of it but the fact that the Austone is a more square profile makes the difference in radius more when you move off center to the "corner" of the tire.

For me, there is virtually no difference in handling at speed but a slight difference can be felt at parking lot speed. I'll buy another one when the time comes.

My Austone set me about an inch taller than the Dunlop it replaced, and it did lean a bit more on the stand.  Kickstand pad helped with that.  As far as handling, I really can't tell the difference from a MC tire.  I will also buy another when necessary -- and from the look of the tread that'll be awhile.

The Austone is the only dark side tire that I am interested in at all.  Since the Austone is taller it effectively changes the fork rake.  How does that change handling?  Seems to me it would make it slightly quicker from the steeper angle.

I'm asking the question because I am somewhat short in stature, and with my current Avon Venom-R's the flats of my feet barely touch the ground.  It would exacerbate my problem of getting on and off the bike if it stood taller with an Austone tire installed.

BTW, I'm not interesting in lowering the bike with shorter rear shocks.  I've already got 12-inch Progressives on now.

My inseam is 29".
I ride a tourer with stock height shocks (12.5").
Getting an Ultimate Lowboy seat a few years back greatly improved the ground distance problem.

Going from a worn Cobra to the Austone noticeably raised the rear (about 3/4").
I have to extend my toes a little to get both feet on the ground, but I usually just put my left foot down at stops anyway.

The ride is much better than a 205 CT that I used to run (practically no bump-steer), but a little less responsive than the Cobra MT. 

I can see me using this tire as long as they keep making them.
