I am looking for a new set of boots.
I saw a pair of Joe Rocket Big Bang Boots on NewEnough for $98.99.  Anyone have experience with these boots?

Any and all suggestions on a good set of boots are welcome.

Thanks

If this offer is open to the general public, I might be interested if'n these boots will fit WIDE feet.  I've found most boots are made for medium width feet.  If you get no other takers, my email is HrdDrvnMan  at  A O L dot C O M      Thanks, Gear Jammer Bobby

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I have a pair of Survivors from Wal-mart or K-mart. $50 or so. Steel toe and no laces, just 1 buckle. 10" shaft. Got them over 10 years ago and wear them on the bike and everywhere but work or around the farm. I even have wore them with shorts!  Shocked They been through a lot. Maybe over 50,000 bike miles and 10 years worth of miles from walking. Heals are wore on the edges from curves. Easy on and off, I'm getting good at kicking them off without touching them! They will probally last another 10 yrs.
Check out HD boots. You know there made for walking!  Grin Alot to choose from, from casual wear to riding.

Nothing but Redwing for me.
Most of the manufacturers mentioned above laugh when I ask for a size 15.

I'm with Hoser on this, 8" swat-style leather and cordura lacers.  Lightweight, waterproof, hard/soft toe, insulated, with any number of features; they have great traction, and are comfortable right out of the box, both riding and walking.  Danner, Bates, Rocky, Galls, Magnum, Converse, 5.11, Altima, Thorougood....

I am not a fan of any slip-on wellington style boot because they will come off in a fall.  And I do not like the thin soles of most bike boots.

Check these out:

I have the previous version of these:

Get the side zip model, you can leave the laces tied.  Did I mention they are very light? mine have a gortex liner, waterproof, they are well under 100 bux. hoser

I have Redwing pull on riding boots and they are very comfortable and I like that style of boots with no laces.

If I lived in the US I would seriously consider a pair of these

http://www.lapolicegear.com/magnum-stealth-force-8-insulated-water-proof-boot.html

as they look like a screamin' deal - looks like sizes up to 15.  Waterproof, insulated, save 80 bucks - you could phone and check stock in your size.  I think if you get 'em in 15 the waterproof status makes them qualify as a small craft and you may need a boat operators license to wear 'em.
