Those of us that have Standard or Tourer models
Just want to say I added a 7 inch Truck lite head light and road lamps
to my Harley and was thinking this would be a great addition to
our Valks . It is really great white light that goes way down the
road and really shows the road signs.
Just want to put this out there for us, I have an Interstate so
this option is not for my model.
Trucklite series 7. Google it and take a look.

Hmmm, interesting.  How does this compare to a good standard H4 bulb?  That's pretty spendy but could be worth it if they are noticably brighter.  Low power draw is a big plus.  Looks plug and play easy as long as it fits in the housing without adapters.  Anyone tried these in a Valk yet?

It should be a plug and play.
It is real bright, some of the new road signs
almost blinded me

If you figure out how to mount it please let me know. I have 2 of them on the shelf. The Valk headlight is held in by some screws in the back of the reflector housing, the trucklight does not have any way to mount it that I can figure out.
Been thinking about looking for a different light that holds the headlight in place like a car, ie, round ring that holds the  bulb in the bucket.

What I did was reuse the ring that has the three screws
that mount it to the bucket.
That will allow you to mount it in the Valk.

Now I know the Harley has a ring that comes off the headlight and will
go on to the LED light. That gave me the ability to mount the new headlight
       into the bucket.
I wish I had a standard to look at I only have an Interstate.
I will have to look at a blowup of the standard bucket to see what we have.
Hope I can figure this out for us.

Reviving an old thread,  I picked up a 7" trucklite headlight for 170 with tax on amazon and set about to making it fit the Valk headlight bucket,  found a reasonably easy work around to make it fit the Valk headlight adjuster bracket.  I'll post pics after the project is finished later this weekend.

i got it installed today i didnt do a full on pic filled write up as i had planned mainly because it didnt turn out as well as i planned and i may redo it in the future. that being said i am also a perfectionist and wasnt really happy with the aesthetics of the way the trim ring had to be mounted in order for the ring/bucket to clear the mounting tabs on the valk headlight rim. i ill try to explain how i did it with stock pics though, it really only took a couple hours to complete but i am still playing with adjustments.

this is basically what i started with, along with something like this

i disassembled the stock headlight and used number 12 in this diagram

and figured out where it needed to be attached to the rear of the above headlight bucket
i had it welded to the bucket but you could also figure out a way to screw it as well.
when i was done i was able to use one on the 2 spring/screw adjusters that are on the factory set up
and so far that may be good enough but it is still a work in progress. here's a couple pics of how it looks on my bike

low beam

high beam

i will probably make a new mount at some point and perfect it and i will document that build when it happens but for now it is mounted solidly and i'll just keep playing with the adjustments.
