I know a lot of folks will be enroute to Inzane soon, if not already. I would have liked to add a passenger drink holder to a convenient spot on my Interstate where the wife could reach it and it still wouldn't look hideous.

I have a regular bicycle style holder on the handlebars that works great but I'm blank on what to do for the other half.  Possibly on the outboard side of the speaker holder???

Thanks in advance,

I have a driver's backrest with a pouch.  That is where my wife put her drink.  Need a cap though on the drink though.

Since you have the saddlebag rails...you could go with something like this...

some need a place to put the cup so it doesn't fall when they doze off and take a nap.....   Grin

I have a plastic cup holder hanging on the left front Pod (kind that hangs on a car door from the window lip) and usually use it for "warm" drinks.   However, I have used it for "her" cold drinks when she usually doesn't want to hold the cup or as a place to put it during takeoff and landings....  Yes, it does mean I have to reach it and hand it to her.... but at least it's out of the way.

Get a set of these and mount a cup holder on it. They make them for both the Tourer and I/S. Actually will work on the Std. as well when used with a passenger backrest/sissy bar.

Bscrive,  great idea but unfortunately, I didn't go with a backrest with my Russell seat.

JoeValkIS, excellent idea and something within my budget.

Fubar, thanks for the suggestion, but PAVALKER was right about the wife falling asleep.

PAVALKER, not a bad suggestion. That would work too.

John, That route would be great..no doubt, but it's out of my budget range for now. I'd like to see your bike though, if you have that setup.

Thanks, all for the suggestions!

Or you could put a camelback behind her on the trunk or travel gear, with a bite tube over her shoulder.

Fill hole will easily take ice.

Another idea, which I use on my other bikes (no trunk/bags etc) is to get a water bottle insulator wrap  with a strap or I use a caribiner hook to snap it to my belt loop.  I freeze the bottle of water over night and sip on it as it melts.  Its best to get one with a pop up closure so you can take a sip when riding.... otherwise I would recommend pulling over to unscrew the top if need be.  But if it's for her, she can use both hands unless she needs one to hold on for dear life....    Grin

No, don't have it on mine, I ride solo all the time. Due to health issues my former back warmer/backrest can't ride with me anymore. My daughter and hubby had the armrests on their I/S, she loved it. Gave a little more sense of security along with it.

I  have 2 barefoot willie heavy duty plastic cupholders either buy on amazon.com or at jpcycles website for around 22 bucks each.  They are very nice for being plastic and the mounts are great on the handlebars.  I have one on each side of my handlebars and have put large McD's drinks in them no problems staying put.  One for me and one for the misses.  She just taps me on the shoulder if she wants it and I have to wait for a convenient time to take my hand off the throttle and give it to her and then she waves it in front of my face to put it the drink back in the cupholder.

Pretty convenient and easy to mount and so far in past 1 year of use, has lasted.  Best part is they supposedly have a lifetime warranty and if they ever break or any part breaks, call up barefoot willy company and they will honor their warranty supposedly for life.

BamaDrifter64,

Although I don't view it as a long term solution, I found the same style cupholders at a Dollar Store.
I cut the top and tywrapped the holder just as you did. With only 1 day till we leave for IZ, this was a quick and easy solution. Thanks!

You would have to add the Trunk Rail.
