Need a clutch master cylinder assy for my '98 standard as the mirror ripped out the mirror mount threads during my wreck.  Was looking for used but discovered a new one for a '99 GL1500CT was only $78 here:

http://www.motosport.com/cruiser/oem-parts/HONDA/1999/VALKYRIE-TOURER-_-GL1500CT/CLUTCH-MASTER-CYLINDER

But when I look up the same part for a '98 GL1500C it has a different part number and is $300!

What would be different on the Tourer assembly?

I checked the honda direct line parts fiche and they list both 1500c and 1500ct as 22890-MZ0-006  @ $254.

It looks to me that this 006 part number is a newer part # for the same part.  I did a cursory google search to see if I could find a supersede  list but couldn't.

I also looked at a 2000 1500cf(interstate) and it has a different part number as well but internally is the same

All the internal components are the same if you compare the two of them.  I would order the cheaper one and save $200.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, the interstate one is slightly different, because of the bracket for the radio controls cooldude

Yep, that and/or Pinwall would be my suggestion for the best things to try first.

I didn't know about Pinwall, I'm searching there now.
 Thanks!

Ran a die over the mirror stem threads and used my neighbor's thread chaser on the mounting hole and was able to salvage it!   Happy Camper!  :-)
