just a little input Please:
was reading some posts and the Mityvac is mentioned so I looked them up and there are close to a Zillion choices to choose from can someone enlighten me as to which kind I need for such things as pulling a vacuum to fill the bowls, also I have a 1 man brake bleeder (non vacuum) so it could be used for that also as well as anything else that comes up. looks like the Silverline Elite Plus is the do everything pump but do I need this? would like to hear from those who know.
thanks,
Wewa

The Silverline elite MV8500 is a pretty fancy metal with pressure and vacuum gauge.
I've got the MV8010, that's the plastic body with a gauge. It doesn't measure pressure. I'd recommend this one so you can have a visible check for vacuum leakdown ( on the petcock). The mityvac makes all your brake and clutch bleeding a piece of cake
If your going to use the pressure side for other applications you may consider the MV8500 but the cheaper MV8010 does everything I need at half the price of the MV8500.
Hope this helps you out.
Ride safe.

I bought the mityvac from harbor freight 39522 and it works great for bleeding the brakes and clutch. Really sucks the #&## out of it. My fluids were so BAAAD that I had to scrape the grit out of my clutch reservoir. I used it to test my petcock to.
