Hello, I'm new here and have a question. I bought a 2000 valk standard and the lower forks are bent,  I got the right fork apart no problem. On the left side do i need to take that nut off that holds in the dampening rod to remove the lower fork? Thanks in advance

Tank probably covered this, but the left fork has no lower bolt. Only the right fork has a dampener inside. If you want to remove the top bolt, loosen the top pinch bolt while keeping the lower pinch bolts tight. Use a 15/16" box wrench to loosen it, then remove from the trees.
