...looking for walk-through with pix or video if available. Tried to search and found a couple desmog articles but nothing specific to the redeye shiny version.

The kit comes with good instructions.  Here is a pic of everything we removed.  Mine is a California model so there are a few more pieces we had to remove than yours if yours isn't a California model.

Thanks, that will do. Those pix will come in handy. Just afraid I'll bite off more than I can chew. Funny, I had to completely tear apart and rebuild my computer 5 times yesterday chasing down what turned out to be two separate problems. I got no problem with that. Doing the same thing to the Valk makes me nervous. Oh, and just so you know, I hate Montreal. If you're a soccer fan, you know why. I live near Rochester, NY. Evil

Read the instructions a few times before you start.  It's not bad.  Also, don't forget to plug any openings with rags before you start sawing on a tube.

I had just completed the Shiny Desmog about 2 weeks before Inzane,  take your time and all will work out perfectly.

If you have any questions feel free to PM

Don't forget to plug the air filter opening where the PAIR valve system was connected. If you remove your intake tubes, probably should replace those O-rings. If you pull the tank and the air cleaner, let us know so we can give you advise on how to get those carb tubes back in place properly. It's not a bad job, as has been said just don't be in a hurry.

Is there any real reason to remove the tubes? One could save a lot of bs by just removing the Pair valves and plugging the tubes into the air filter box with this kit couldn't one?

Also, does desmogging change the required carb jetting?

No reason why the kit you listed won't work.  Some think the engine area looks nicer without the tubes.

No rejetting required.

+1 on what Chiefy says. Once you get it all back together it should run as it did before. I resynchronized my carbs too just for a finishing touch after the desmog.  Roll Eyes
