I've heard of Std to I/S, but not backwards like you want to do.

I don't remember the gentleman's name but I think they were from Mississippi that performed this task of Std to I/S Fairing.

Also remember he had a bunch of problems, going from mechanical to electrical gauges.

Is there a reason you want to convert an I/S to a Std?

There is documentation on how to remove or replace the trunk in less than 5 minutes, the bags can come off or replaced in like 5 to 10 minutes.    BigBF in Arizona has made kits to do some of your changes for an I/S.   BigBf.Com

Have you considered other options?

What would you do on the gas gauge sender wire, just let it dangle?

Before ya start this project, think of all the problems you will run into.

You'd have to change the speedo pickup to a cable instead of a pair of wires.

etc. etc.

IMHO: An I/S is the rarest of Valks. To destroy one is a sin at my house. Please sell the bike to someone who wants one and buy a standard that suits your needs.

We traveled with different numbers of folks on the way to InZane... at one point I
counted... most of the bikes were Interstates, and only two or three of us had
motorcycle tires, the rest had car tires...

I agree at IZ there were more IS's than any other type (more than 50% of the bikes there were IS's).....

According to Dags site, there were less Tourers made than Interstates....  http://www.valkyrienorway.com/HOW%20MANY%20BUILT.html

Come to Louisiana...

I'll give you all my standard parts and you can give me all your Interstate parts... even trade...

Or... we can just trade bikes.   cooldude

On a serious note, it really would be easier to just sell the IS and buy a standard.  Plus you can get a standard for less, so you'll come out ahead... even after registration.

No wiseguy remarks here, but check this thread.  Jabba is asking the same question(s) you are.  There's an answer in that thread.......

I know KingBee did a swap on his bikes, maybe posted about 3 years ago last on it.

Me and BonS went tire-geek at the lunch at Gilbert Brown's camp.
There were 85 motorcycles present, 21 of them had CTs.
