   Seems to me the poor Guys in in blue[or brown]
sure had to do alot of work for Mr. Jackson today.
  Will they get paid overtime, or is that just something
they have to put up with?

Depends on what Dept it is.....  CHP, no OT, unless they changed the rules since 1986.   We were considered on duty 24/7, so we were on duty,  NO OT.   LAPD will get OT, and maybe Orange County, they have a tough Union supporting their wants & needs.

Some will get OT, if they are not on a scheduled work schedule, and some from the same Dept. if it is their scheduled assignment, will be working single time, unless it goes past their get off duty time, that happens, OT will kick in....
