Help, I need to change the turn signal indicator on the headlight bucket of my 1998 standard valk. Does it pry off or what. Don't want to risk damaging the top of bucket

I think you need to get at it from inside.

I recently had to change the high beam indicator light. It is the same light set as the turn signal.
You have to get to it from the inside. There is a rubber boot that traverses the headlight. The bulb is nestled deep inside the boot. I had to use a tweezers to get it out. I'm sure there is a proper tool for that. I don't have one.

The amber lens (in my case, the blue one) simply sits in the boot.
I would suggest gently prying the lens cover off of the headlight then pulling the boot out from the inside of the headlight.

When I did this, I just pulled on the boot from the inside and the lens went flying.
Don't let the lens go flying. Gently remove it first. Take the old bulb to the local auto shop. It must be a common bulb as NAPA has them.

I used a small socket on a "screw driver" to insert the bulb, as it is a rather deep boot. Took a number of attempts. Again, I'm sure there is a proper tool for this. I don't have one.
(The bulbs just pull out and push in)

I cannot guarantee this is the proper way. But it worked for me. And I too, could not find any information on how to do this.

You have to pry the plastic indicator lens out first then you can pull the rest out from the inside. A lil shot of wd-40 helps.
