Sharkey!!

You need to PM me your contact info!  I miss you brother!  I hope you and your family are doing well and work is staying busy for you.   I recognize passing that bike on I-70 just west of topeka Cheesy

Your a great man, my friend... I do  miss not seeing you but I know that the family decisions need to be met and those will blossom into something that will last a lifetime.  Don't be a stranger.

As I was typing this... I hear my 10 month old in the bathroom and hearing water splashing...  ???  When I went in there he was playing in the toilet... Kids  crazy2

Looking forward to seeing everyone...

Fyi... Gary C called me and told me he got a call from a hotel in Cuba,MO asking if we are still wanting the rooms for this weekend.  I told her that we are not planning on staying there.  Chip they had your name too... Here is the hotel number:  573-885-7707.

Looks like cool but clear sailing through the week end  http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/eldon-mo/65026/weekend-weather/334170 cooldude The  owner of the hotel from last year came across some notes that had us down for Oct 10-13  instead of  Oct 10 thru 13 2012. They were only 1 yr late no biggie. tickedoff

Not something I wanted to post put there is a 50% chance Teryl and I may not be making this trip.  Both of our families that committed to watching Jimmy have either made plans or backed out.  I for one am not really wanting to make this trip in a four wheel vehicle so if we go it would be on two wheels so that is not looking good for us.  I'll keep you posted.

I believe the bike MizzouGuy bought may have been Sharkeys. Could be wrong but it would have been close to his home.

I believe it was Sharkeys. It was owned by another guy in between. JoeValk was incredibly generous, and (I would say helped, but he did 99% of the work) me fix a headlight problem, and checked out the final drive, and all components. All good, Sharkey took very good care of this bike.
I'm still planning on coming down early Saturday morning. Going to get a hook up in for heated jacket first though.
Looking forward to meeting you all.

Do you plan on coming up hwy 17, if so we could meet at price cutters and ride the rest of the way together. I plan on leaving at 0800 and not sure if anyone else plan on coming with me or not.

A bump back up to the top of the page.

Would really like to make this ride but, I have other things demanding my time and dollars.   Will be heading south to Anderson, SC to help a buddy in need.   Enjoy and keep the shiny side up.   cooldude

Mayby next year.

There are a few photos on the Kansas board. We had a good support from our friends in Kansas. It was a cool damp ride for about 30 miles on the way  in for myself and JoeValkIS. Sat. ride was great Joe did a good job on mapping out a route that offered a variety of roads and terrific views. A lunch at Willowes Bar and Grill . Dinner at a local Mexican restaurant followed by nice bonfire Sat evening. And Wow was the weather great for our ride home. I do believe a good time was had by all. cooldude Sorry my copilot was not there for photos

Excellent ride as usual! If you have not made a Mo. Fall Color ride, you need to! Although we just missed the color by a week or so(that's always a hit or miss when you plan these) the ride was fantastic, the people were even better, and fun was had by all! Can't wait for the next one!

Great job Joe and Chip!

... I do believe a good time was had by all.

Chip, I can assure you I did.  Good to see you there.   cooldude

... Although we just missed the color by a week or so(that's always a hit or miss when you plan these)

John, green is a color.  Actually there was a lot of beauty as they were in the process of changing, but , as John said, they will peak in a couple of weeks.

... Enjoyed sharing wind and breaking bread with everyone of ya'll.

Dennis, it's always best when the two take place that way.   Roll Eyes

Great job, Joe (and bunch).  The s'mores were good!  The fire was first class.  The people were a genuine pleasure.  I enjoyed myself greatly.  I do have a few pictures to share, but it seems lately to take me awhile to get them out of the camera.
