Those of you in the know, can the I/S gauges be removed and the Tourer OEM speedo and tach mounted in their place? Either that or is there a way of setting/resetting the odometer on an I/S speedo to match what the OEM odo has on it? I suppose I could hook up an electric drill to the speedo sender and just let it run, but not my method of choice. In case you haven't guessed by now...I have a complete I/S fairing I want to mount on my Tourer so looking at all possibilities before starting on it.

Try sending Kingbee a PM or better yet, an email. I don't think he checks the board much anymore, but he did exactly what you're talking about, so it CAN be done.

I've seen pics of the tourer/standard's guages mounted in an Interstate fairing on the board here pretty recently. Don't remember who's bike it was, but it was a member here.
They looked stock mounted in the I/S fairing like they came from the factory that way.

they pop right in by removing the rear cover, the hole is right on so all you have to do is slide it in and remount the chrome cover on the rear.

Thanks, probably my best approach since the odo is about double my original.
