I just picked up my '99 I/S from Roger and drove it from Ohio back to Tallahassee.  Cheesy I rode along the Blue Ridge Parkway for a while on the way back and loved it.   cooldude Caught a cold in Macon and have been trying to recover ever since then. Lips Sealed

I have a question for any member who lives up here in North Florida.  I own a '03 Goldwing and get work done at the Redhills Honda shop and the Ducati dealer on capital circle.  The Honda dealer doesn’t work on GL1500s since the new owners took over  Undecided, so I am not sure it they can or will work on the Valkyries.  I like the Ducati shop, the mechanics there do a great job with what they know and charge less than Honda.

I do my own maintenance and anything that is not too involved, but I have to let a more knowledgeable mechanic do any heavy lifting.  I am sure the Ducati shop would work on the Valkyrie if I needed it, but I was hoping to find a qualified Valkyrie mechanic to take the bike to for repairs. Anybody know one?

Once I get my horn working and over this cold, I’ll be out on the road as soon as I can.   Hope to see you all out there.

Thanks
David

David,
Glad you had a good ride home.  Except for the cold of course.  I can't help with Florida thing, but I bet there are a bunch of folks down there who can.

BF should be able to help you on that one. If he doesn't see your post here just look him up. He is usually more than happy to tell ya' where to go.....I mean help.
Welcome to the Florida board and welcome to our little corner of the world of Valkyries! Some say we are planning a ride up to the Panhandle area....take a look a few posts down.

Welcome from near Gainesville.  I don't know about dealers in your area but there isn't much heavy lifting that needs to be done on the Valkyrie.  The tech board is your friend, Sgt. Joe's maintenance gives you how to's on a lot of stuff.  If you have any questions ask them here on the FL. board or on the tech board.  There are several folks here that do their own maintenance and believe me we always have an opinion. Smiley  Dag on the Valkyrie Norway site has a service manual that you can download.  I have a paper manual also.

Welcome.   cooldude

Don't know of any shops in the Tally area.  That's a 165 miles from me.

Don't know if Panama City is close enough for ya, but I seem to remember a post or two from some of the Panama City guys talking about a good shop they trust.  Think they said it was on 15th street.

However, there's plenty of online support if you need it on the Tech board.  Ask a question and usually within minutes you'll have a reply.

If you haven't found them yet, there's also lots of tech links available....such as this......

I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
