I put new OEM pads in the rear calipers before my trip East this year. I've noticed some resistance recently when pushing her back from parking spaces; not really hard, but there. Is this normal and something that will go away?
I had to replace the rear left wheel baring on that vacation, but don't know if that would have any baring (sic) on my situation...

The new pads are much thicker pushing the pistons deeper into their bores. Did you clean the calipers completely ?
Sounds like the pistons are not retracting far enough.

What Bone said + check the two pins that allow movement of the brake housing.  It could be that only one pad is rubbing on the disk.  Ride it a while using only the front brakes.  Get off a feel the rear brake housing, it should not be hot.

I have had your issue and have had to completely clean up and rebuild the rear brake.

On a pre trip inspection in my garage I activated the rear brake and it locked up in my garage. Long story somewhat shorter-rear caliper rebuild. The exposed area of the pistons were VERY corroded. Some Scotch Brite some elbow grease and new caliper O-rings and some light lube-good to go. RIDE SAFE.
