Jardine Exhaust Question

Removing the OEM exhaust from my 2001 gl1500cd, the nuts attaching the flanges to the manifold are capped chrome nuts.
I have a Jardine exhaust that had been previously installed. There is a difference in the thickness of the flanges between the two, the OEM flanges are thicker. With that, the nuts for the Jardine should be open, and not capped, -or- they could be capped and longer.
Can anyone tell me what nuts originally came with the Jardine Exhaust? Forgive me for my newness, I don't have a model of the Jardine. They are slash-cut however.
Also, where the Jardine attaches to the rear support by use of a slide, how easy was it for a new Jardine exhaust to slide? I loosened the clamp on this exhaust, but cannot get it to slide up, therefore the only attach-point for the rear support gives room for one bolt. I wanted to use 2 bolts, since the rear support offers two holes to use. Does anyone have install directions? I can't find them, and am still waiting on a response from Jardine.

There really are no nuts included with the Jardine exhaust and the chrome ones are the oem ones. The flanges bend easily and may require more tightening than you can do with the chrome ones so I would use regular nuts and then the chrome as lock nuts. Put grease on these otherwise it will be a pain to get off. Also use new gaskets for them as the seal to the head can sometimes not be that good. As for the rear slider bolts in the back one is plenty the exhaust is light and really wont go anywhere. Its easy to adjust the slide and it may take a bit of effort to separate the muffler from the header if you need to do so. I have given up on putting the 10mm bolt in the muffler where it meets the header clamp and in fact put a small amount of grease on that so it slides apart easy when I do a tire change. All it takes is, 1 rear muffler bolt, axle bolt, and caliper bolt and the rear wheel is off. I too have the slash cuts and really like them the sound is good performance is good and they have held up for 10 years so far which is longer than I thought they would.
