No brake light?

If the switch by your rear brake pedal is bad, will the brake light not come on with the front brake lever either? I was turning the bike around in my garage and noticed the brake light was stuck on. I pulled on on my rear brake pedal and it went out. I thought maybe the switch just needed adjusted or something. I pulled the front brake lever and it didnt come on at first, then kinda went off and on a few times. DEcided to wait till today to look at it, and I have no brake light at all, either front or back. Bad switch, or something between switch and taillight? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A worn bushing in the brake lever or some aftermarket levers will not allow the switch to be actuated. Also, sometimes the plugs come loose from the switch after washing, etc.
If your brake light bulb is good, then check the easy stuff first, including adjusting the rear brake actuator under the cover until everything works properly.
You can check the switch is working at the handlebars using a multi-meter...the contacts are easily accessible.

Boy do I feel stupid....
It was the bulb, lol.
I had myself convinced it was something bad. You're right, you should always check the simple stuff first.
Thanks for the response!
