Are hitches different for IS and Tourer?
Are there different manufactures of hitches, if so any favorites?
After all these years... thinking of getting a Time Out camper; never pulled a trailer with a bike before.
(maybe i should trike my bike, getting old yaknow)

All hitches for Valks fit all Valks. Hitch Doc seems to be the most popular. I've pulled a Roll-A-Home tent trailer all over the USA in the summer of '05. It weighed about 425 and was a handful to stop when things got wet. I now pull it with an '05 Wing with no problems in the rain. The Time Out is not a good trailer for daily travel. It takes too long to set up and take down. If it's raining during either process, your stuff gets wet before you can get the tent over your things. Mine and a LiesureLite set up in 2-3 minutes without exposing the insides.

Every so often a hitch will show up on our classifieds. Had a member that I met at Inzane this past July that wasn't going to use his and cut me a good deal.  cooldude Good luck with your search. RIDE SAFE.

Thanks for the info on hitches, and interesting comments on the timeouts, will check on others further.
Ideally I would like to find a good used Wing trike for these kinds of trips.  In all our travels and that's many with bikes we motel it except for Sturgis.  eheh beginning to think once a year for 3-4 days in a tent hardly warrants messing with pulling.
