Was going for a ride today, stopped to gas up. After I'm back on the road, noticed the the speed o wasn't working. Odometer worked fine. Stopped and looked at the gauge, needle was on the wrong side of the stop peg ?? what the hell?? Shocked After scratching my head for a while, I backtracked what I had done at the gas station different. My 99 IS has an electronic meter, I had flipped my tank bag up against  the gauges to get at the cap. I guest that one of the magnets got too close to the gauge. I tried to move the needle back around with the bag magnet, but was unsuccessful. I turned off the ignition and then I could swing the needle back to the correct side of the stop. Murphy says: don't get near your your gauges with a magnet. Smiley
