Took my shocks off to install my new Michelin Primacy and found both top bushings SHOT!!!!  Fortunately my local Honda Store had 'em in stock.  Had I not put the CT on,I would be riding with no bushings which my mother told me never to do!

Yep. Only bad thing is the Honda ones don't last all that long. I put new ones in when I mounted my new E3's. I recently lost a stem on the front tire and replaced the rear stem as well. I noticed when I took my shocks off that the upper bushings were already starting to deform and split. Nice, didn't even make it through a tire change.

I'm waiting for new OEM bushings also. Is there an aftermarket alternative that will last longer?

The green VTX bushings are poly and last way longer than the stock Valkyrie bushings.

I replaced mine earlier this year with regular OEM.

At $2.50 each, including shipping, I think the Honda Poly bushings (Part # 52489-HN0-671) is what I'd try next time.
