From Ft. Dodge myself. Dad was a school Super. for a few years until I reached my teen years, then went back to the classroom when we moved to Ft. Dodge. Told me years later he felt he needed to be home more as I "matured."

Mom also a teacher. During the war, he was a Superintendent in a consolidated school district east of the town of Missouri Valley which is about 25 miles north of Council Bluffs. As for Davenport, I still have some family living there I've not seen in years. I'd like to see them all again, we're not getting any younger.
