Well I could have used some advice/help this weekend.  I replaced the windshield and fixed the horn.  The grommets for the speaker panels and one for the chrome windshield strip came out.  I dabbed a little glue on them and put them back in.

I checked the voltage on the horn and replaced it with an old one I had laying around.  It works now but I want to get an air horn when funds are available.

The Throttle cable still has far too much play in them.  I was going to buy OEM replacement cables, but I wanted to measure the riser to see if I will need longer cables.

Still wanting to drive down to Daytona to check out those Ultimate seats and maybe find a good dealer in Daytona who installs aftermarket pipes.

I ‘am also looking to purchase a lift table. Something that will hold the Valkyrie and GW.  I’ll look around Daytona for that too.

I think the sun is going to be out all this week, which means I need to find some good excuses not to show up for work this week.   crazy2

Hey that looks like our 99 Interstate.  We have the Ultimate King Big Boy set on ours.  I had OEM, Corbin, and Diamond before the Ultimate.  About the only seat we have not tried is the Russell Day Long.    Love the Ultimate.  We are 20 miles North of Gainesville if you want to try it out.

Nice Bike,I sold my Green/Silver a few months ago.
Like T-Bolt said the Ultimate King Bigboy is the BOMB,Definitely the best seat for me.
There is a King Bigboy on the Classified ads for sale,if it's not sold, and there is a Lift Table for sale on Craigslist for $300.00,like new,I think it is near Tampa.

I see that the King Bigboy for sale says that it is for a Standard or Tourer but I have one on my Interstate that is for a Standard or Tourer and it fits great .

Woo, final off work, had to take the long way home to enjoy this great weather.

I think I’ll get a seat for both the rider and passenger.  It looks like I can check out the different seat styles at the Ultimate store in Daytona.  I still need to resolve the throttle problem.  Do the I/S handle bars have a chrome plate over the OEM risers.  I have to find out if I have aftermarket risers or not.  I was going to order OEM cables, but if I have OEM risers I might get some aftermarket riser and longer cables.

I am also going to put on air horns since I currently have a beep-beep horn.
I’ll look at the ad for the lift table; I should have had one years ago.  I have a small MC lift, but it looks like I need an adaptor to use in on the Valk.  cooldude

When you add that air horn be sure and run it from an external relay powered through a fuse to the battery or an additional fuse panel.  Here is a link to Rattlebars web site.  I hope it helps.

The OEM risers have a polished aluminum plate on top.

Dougger sent an email.

I saw some bikes on U-tube with Train horns.  That would be nice, but it would probably cause more accidents than prevent them.

It looks like I have standard risers on the bike, so I ordered OEM cables from Honda.  The way the cables are now, with so much slack in them, I don't think I am getting the bike's full power.

I am still thinking of going to Daytona and maybe staying a night just to check out some of the shops.   Does anybody have any favorite shops down there or any good hotels with a safe place to park the bike?

Simply beautiful shot. We will be up there in October ourselves. Staying in Maggie Valley for a week or so. Your bike looks so familiar...... cooldude

Get a Stebel.   cooldude

http://www.stebel.it/stebel2012/products.asp?IDserie=14&uso=1&IDprodotto=53&tipologia=moto

This is where/how I mounted mine.....

I got a short (3 ft....but you won't need all of it) piece of 1 1/4" wide by 1/4" thick aluminum flat bar from Lowe's.  You can find it where they sell metal sheets, angle, threaded rod, etc.

It's light, very sturdy and easy enough to cut and bend to shape.

I put a sorta z bend in it to off set the horn back some.....drilled a mounting hole at each end and mounted the horn.  Easy peezy.

Just make sure you use a relay.

For a place to stay in Daytona.....

There's a nice motel right in front of Bruce Rossmeyer's at Destination Daytona.

Well it doesn’t look like I am going to make it to Daytona this weekend to look at the Ultimate seats.  I did switch out the Throttle cables and man did that make a difference.   Before I had to turn the throttle one-full rotation before I got fuel.  Now it’s at my finger tips and I think I got the other half of the power band that was missing.  I was wondering if fuel line couldn’t be any shorter, it was a bear trying to get all those hoses hooked back up. I also changed the air filter which seemed to allow her to breathe easier.

I saw some threads talk about putting bar-riser on without changing the cables.  I going fine out what brand they used, and add it to the bike.

I think I will spend my evening changing the oil and praying for drier weather tomorrow.

BF, I liked the position of the horn, that clever it looks like it come with the bike.  cooldude

without new cables.  They work on the Interstate and all other models.  http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/show-chrome-accessories-big-bike-parts-handlebar-risers-valkyrie/part/BBP-51-445
