Walmart ST7317....Champion CL7317 Oil Filter

Well RATS......Walmart no longer carries the ST7317 oil filter so I was getting them from Summit Racing  (CL7317) for the same Walmart price....$2.97.  Went to order more from Summit just now and the filter came up as N/A for availability.  Called Summit and they said Champion had discontinued that filter (since Walmart demand dropped off????), but Champion was making a replacement filter PL7317 at $4.97 each (PL= platinum).  Anyone had one of these in hand to see if it looks and feels the same or better than the old ST7317.....I know there are a gazillion  filters that will work.....just want to know about this one....

If they sell Puralator, get 14610  I think anything but a Fram would be ok. Champion made supertech which was a good one for the price but they say puralator is the best
