But, two things are taking precedence; company coming tomorrow, Friday, for the weekend and one last hurrah before school starts. And, the projected heat index of 105 degrees by midday makes it a clincher....at least for me. I could get out of hanging around for the company, but won't play it foolish by riding in that kind of heat. There are cooler days ahead providing more comfy riding, along with new gatherings. I do miss the gang, always enjoy our bunch, but these days things have changed a bit for me since my episode a year ago. Remember....I'm not supposed to be here!  angel You folks have fun, see ya down the road in the near future.

As an aside....tomorrow, Friday, I drive to meet a friend from Tennessee. We're meeting in a truck stop at SR44 & I-75, he's bringing the Valkyrie wheels to me that started their trip in Oklahoma. My friend Jim Lynch offered them to me so took them to InZane with him in his p/u. Handed them over to Jim Lambrose from Tenn. who was at InZane, and has a place he bought recently in Naples. He makes a trip down there every few weeks to work on the house and is bringing the wheels with him. So, I get a set of wheels from Oklahoma shipped for free....as long as I wasn't in a hurry. They're for my GL1200 project and will be mounted soon as I get the frame repaired/painted.  cooldude

Hello John.

I miss the gang as well, but it won't be long and we'll be back in Florida again. I am in frequent contact with Jim Lambros. Matter of fact he and I have met up for lunch in Avon Park last winter, and plan to get together again. Maybe we can plan to do it together? For me it's a family weekend for Labor Day as well, although I will try to get at least a short ride in. I've rediscovered my love for riding my old BMW, although I do miss sitting behind a fairing. I remember when I would not have considered siting behind a windscreen. Oh well, age and wisdom have a way of changing our thought process.

Have a good holiday, and take care care of yourself. Some of us really like the fact that you cheated the grim reaper, and are hoping to keep you around for a lot longer.
