I need to remind my pack of (usually hungry) friends of the Red River County Stew cookoff. Especially you riders! Five bucks gets you a bowl and you get to go around and sample all the stew you can (there was something like 30 pots out there last year).

Next Saturday! Come on out!

The Old Vic is a complete and total disaster, but will be available as a refuge from the heat (if it's hot), a resting place, etc. PM me for the address, or come by our store on the square before 4pm and we'll give it to you there.

I ate so much 2 years ago that I was miserable.   We had to sit around for a bit to let my food settle before I could get back on the new to me Wing at the time.  It wasn't cool, but it wasn't 100 deg either.
Good time was had by all.  If I remember correctly, the Chamber of Commerce pot was my favorite.

Bump... Hope to see some of ya'll out there...

Looking like it'll be me, my father, my 10 year old and the triplets... So if anyone wants to sign up to help with kiddo wrangling, I wouldn't mind the help!

Sadly, we'll be in the minivan, but we'll be there...

They could prolly save the cooking wood and just hold a magnifying glass over the stew pot!

I still plan on being there. I'll be the one with the stretch limo stroller...

Would have loved to go but just got back from a cruise so it's already too late to go!

Another good Stew Festival (As we've taken to calling it around here.) Stuffed with stew, although I really wish I'd had room left to try that meatball stew the drilling company brought!

BTW... The drive home was... noisy... Here's a brief sample of what it's like to be stuck in a minivan with over stimulated tired 2 year old triplets... Enjoy your volume controls!
