Me thinks you made a mistake, I get a different number each time and I'm sick of checking, but it's closer to $9000.00

Good job Mike I would have needed more toes and fingers. Doug the "proof is in the pudding" is an old saying that I have heard all my life regarding what you have done with your bike. It really looks nice and of course as evidenced by what you were doing when you injured your back picking up a polishing rag, you keep it looking good.

Me thinks you made a mistakeI cut-and-pasted your post into vi, typed in a regular expression edit command that made everything go away except the numbers, replaced the end of each line with a plus sign, joined them all and piped the result into bc Either way: fiddling with our bikes can cost more than buying them... -Mike

That is why I throw my Receipts Away, that way I don't have to worry about what I spent and I can enjoy riding them more.

I'm with Bert, don't keep receipts. I'd be scared to know how much I've spent over & above the purchase price of the bike. The leather work itself is close to $3k which I paid for by working on his bike. Had it in my garage nearly four months.
Doug, your bike sure shows the TLC you give it. Always thought it looked great. Hope your back is improving, I know what you're going through. It's often caused by something out of place in the spine the the muscles work to pull it all back in line. Eventually they spasm from overwork. A chiropractor finally got me walking, happened about 25 yrs. ago.

Throw away those receipts. That way Moma won't feel the need to fuss about it. I read somewhere that a fellow always told his wife that the new parts she was seeing were only about 100.00 and that kept the peace, each and every time a new part showed up the mantra was repeated.
