I like to look on
www.charitynavigator.org and look at how much they take in and compare it to how much they actually spend on the purpose they market. Saw one recently that sounded really good, but only about 1/3 of what they take in goes to the mission. How do you hit "unlike" on their facebook?
I won't make it until later into the party as I'm helping with a charity bicycle race, but I think Spoiler and some others are planning on attending for the fun run.
