Installing my new Drag Bars and Grips.  When connecting the cables to the grip inside the housing, which cable connects where?  If they just hook up to the closest point, then I seem to have too much cable on one.  Anyone have a picture or diagram of how the connect to the grip?  How can I adjust that or tighten it up?  Please dont tell me I need new cables.

Visit dags site and download the manual.
There is an adjustment for the cables.

I have the manual on CD. Will check it out. Hopefully it shows how the cables connect to the grip.

The throttle side has a tube that slips onto the handlebars.
This tube accepts the throttle cables, and your grips should fit onto the tube.
You need grips especially made for the valkyrie,as they don't come with the tube.

I installed new bars and grips so Im not using the tube.  I just have to grind the housing opening down a little to fit the new grips.  No tube needed.

You need the tube to actuate the throttle cables.
The housing just protects the cables from the elements.
You need the tube.

The new grips already have the round spots where the cables attach built on to them.  No plastic sleeve needed.

You might want to check where the cable rides on the sheave under the tank. It can slip off and cause you to seem to have a lot extra inside cable length.
