I'm in on the ride for Sunday.   Need to determine meeting place and time.  Valkpilot, you got a plan?

Who plans on going from the DFW area?  Please include your location if it's not already in your profile so that we can plan the meet up(s).

My plan right now would be to blast down I45 in the morning while traffic is pretty light and return a more leisurely path, probably to the east.

Who is going to join us from Houston?  That will define our meetup location.
I see Dag (of course), myself, HayHauler, Wizard, Phyllis, HG and FB (maybe), and Franco.  RedDiamond, will you join us, or are you going to just take a more direct route?

If you're not listed, but planning to join us from the Houston area, holler (along with where you will be coming from to meet us).

Mark
Mark, I'll be leaving Arlington Sunday morning for Nacogdoches. Getting to Centerville (which I would love to do) will probably be a no go for 11:00AM, have fun and enjoy the ride.

How do you DFW folks feel about meeting up at Al Lamb's Honda gassed and ready for KSU at 0830?

Al Lambs Dallas Honda
9250 LBJ Fwy Dallas TX 75243

If the westerly folks prefer, we can do a secondary meet up in Ennis.

It's an easy straight shot to Centerville, and we'll do something creative on the way back.

Aren't the gates up when they're not open?

I have no issues with the meeting place but we may have to be next door to meet.

Yes, the gates are up. So, we can meet immediately east in the next parking lot or at the Race Trac just north of 635 on Greenville Avenue. Both are connected by the alley. There is also a Jack in the Box on the corner.

OK, for the Houston crowd:
Meet at Bonnie's (just north of 610 on 45- on the south side of town), 6867 Gulf Fwy, Houston, TX.
We'll meet at 8, KSU at 8:10.  We'll take one fuel stop on the way for all you low-fuel-capacity standards.

This is the probable route that we'll take:

See ya'll tomorrow morning.

I was counting on the Steak N Shake motto: "In sight, it must be right!"

Sheesh.  Roll Eyes

I'm counting me, Disco, BnB, Bosman, and Rainmaker so far in THE LOT TO THE IMMEDIATE EAST OF AL LAMB'S DALLAS HONDA.

Anyone else, so we'll know to watch for you?

To whomever gets there first:

I called and spoke to the manager, Rebecca.  She will have four tables reserved for "VRCC" ready by 11am.  I told her we'd be about 20 people.  The tables are the front four in the dining room and will accommodate more than that.

Should the first VRCCer to arrive be someone who's never been to Woody's (shame on you), go in the front door, do a big left hand 180 past the drink stations, and they are the tables at the end of the room, next to the windows.

If there is a problem and Rebecca is not there yet, ask for Captain Too High.  He'll know what to do.  Yes, you read that correctly.   Cool

If anyone gets to talk to Captain, you'll be in for a treat, real old school former biker. He sold his last bike, family won't let him ride anymore.

Momma sprung her back packing up from the gig today and I may or may not be required to stay home and help her get around.  If I'm there, great.  But if I'm not at the meetup spot at the appointed time, I won't be going.

Today was really good medicine!  It was the best day of Texas riding I've had in a long time.  Ingredients like good friends, perfect weather, full tummy, roads I've never ridden or driven, and all on the same day, make a great recipe.

Big Thanks to those who made it happen.  I look forward to the next time we are together!
