Had a Utopia on my Valk before I switched to a 4 pc Mustang. If you're going to ride the factory seat, the Utopia is the way to go! Comfortable, adjustable, and my lady misses the Utopia pouch for her "stuff", the Mustang doesn't have it. Definitely a great product, and well worth the money.

Does anyone know if the Utopia back rest will work with the 2000 and up stock seat....or with a Mustang seat (I've got and use both).

It will work with the 2000 and up stock solo seat and with a Saddleman's solo seat.

My Valk was bone stock when I bought it a couple of years ago, except for the Utopia backrest.  It will probably be the last of the add ons remaining in the end  cooldude .  It does work with the King Big Boy, I have no knowledge of the Big Boy.

Received the back rest 2 days ago , took 20 minutes to install.
Nicely made , good quality .

Now , my problem is , I sit more forward  because of the BR  pushing me  that way , if I adjust it back , can't reach the grips very good and beingthat I  do sit  more forward I sit closer to the tank   where the seat is not so comfortable .
Maybe I need risers to bring the  bars   back to me   .
It has changed my riding position ,   anyone else had this problem  ??

You should be able to adjust it to where you were sitting before it was installed. You state it either puts you too far forward or too far back. What's wrong with in between. Am I missing something. coolsmiley

+1 with Misunderstood.  There should be a middle ground.  Risers, I have HD Deuce, are good for me.

Difficult to relate .

Before , my butt would be  all the way back in the drivers seat  , lean forward  to grips  , okay , now if I adjust the BR  so my butt is  all the way back  then I need to sit up a little  to use it , then I can no longer reach the grips  in a good way .
Adding the  back rest   adds   a new  equation  , a third  equation to this .
Before  ,  I believe the  drivers seat lip , where my butt  slides back to is to far back  .
Got a  better picture ?

I get it. To lean against the backrest you have to sit up or back more than you normally would.

You either need pullback risers to let you lean back, or you could try to sandwich a homemade spacer between the two plates (where the three bolts are for adjusting height) to push the backrest forward a bit.
