I want to install the Signal Dynamics lighting system along with LED's. Would like to know what is the consensus on this conversion? Is it worth it? Are they brighter? Do I need to change the front signal lights to LED's or just the rear. The bike is a Standard 03. Help me out before I spend too much money!!!!! or can you spend too much money on a Valkyrie? One other thing, I have this conversion on another bike, I used the stock bulbs and was lucky enough to have a set of red lenses given to me by Keepinon. Those are no longer available, but I thought about the red LED's glowing behind the orange lenses.

Got the Electrical Connection conversion kit Thursday and commenced to install it on Friday. It came with no instructions, all the wiring needed along with the LED rings and a dried up tube of 100% silicone adhesive. I did my best at guess wiring it which did not suit me, looked up the instructions from CruiserCustomizing where I purchased it, but even that did not work. Tried other sources and nothing, no brake or running lights. After painstakingly (sp) removing all the tail light housing and running the tiny wire like it should have been runned, I pulled it all out and deep sixed it totally. I'll chalk this one up to experience or lack of.

My .02ยข, turn and tail LED's are not bright enough for a motorcycle rider to risk some cager not seeing them.  Stick to the brighter incandescent bulbs.

I used these kits for my turn signals

http://www.electricalconnection.com/other-lighting/tsk-std.htm

I kept my brighter bulbs and added LED run and brake lights to the stock turn signal housings.   cooldude

FYI - not that most riders care but red turn signals are illegal in Texas.

Red turn signals on the back are allowed in the state of Texas, however amber is preferred as they are most noticeable.

I stand corrected

(d) A turn signal lamp shall emit:

(1) a white or amber light, or a color between white and amber, if the lamp is mounted on the front of the vehicle; or

(2) a red or amber light, or a color between red and amber, if the lamp is mounted on the rear of the vehicle.

I still won't use LED Run/Turn/Brake bulbs until they can make them at least as bright as incandescent.

Houdini I used to have fun trying to figure out what you could and couldn't have when I was a cop. A lot of folks jack their pickups up and don't realize the lights are to high. Most don't mess with it unless you POPO(piss off police officer).

I have looked at the Electrical Connection 01315 that Houdini recommended, seem easier to connect and cheaper. I also like the idea of not painting the lenses or modifiying the 827R's to get the red lenses. Thanks for the info.

I can't speak to the Signal Dynamics tail light package. I have run the Electrical Connection rings for about 10 years now and am satisfied with them.  I'm actually thinking about adding more red light to the rear with hyperlights or other attention getters. It won't look cool, but I just want them to slow down back there.

If can tell you that I use signal dynamics' wig wag back off tail light on the wing and like it and also run their headlight modulator on both the Valk and the Wing. They make good stuff. The  headlight modulator on the Valk has been on there for almost 10 years now. I don't have it going full time so it hasn't been "running" for 10 years, but it still works when I want to use it and every time I honk my horn, it flashes the lights. That's a pretty good track record to me.

I have no experience with Signal Dynamics, but will say that my Radiantz LED taillight replacement is a significant improvement over oem incandescent.  If you shop, you can beat the $99.99 MSRP.  I got mine off Amazon.

I also have the red Superbright 45-LED bulb replacements in my rear turn signals.  They are brighter than the 3497 incandescents I ran before.  They are also plenty bright to shine red through amber lenses.  I have amber ones to replace the fronts with, but have not installed the diode kit yet.  At $24.99 each, they aren't cheap, but they really fill the lenses with light.

I did the Custom dynamics, Dynamic Clusters. I did both front and back, the front are white running lights and yellow turn signals.

The back convert to run-turn-brake without having to have a RTB kit added on, but I did replace the flasher unit with an electronic one rather than using load equalizers. You do have to run a couple wires through the blinker mount to the tail light, once I figured out how to get the wire through the rubber plug it was easy.

also like Disco I replaced the break light with Radiantz Tail light

The assembly came in today, will tear appart and install, we'll see how it goes. I was under the impression that an equallizer was not needed. If you used an electronic flasher, what did you use.
